Hi Ginny, thought I would give you an up date on my bird. It is still up in the air if she is a male or female. She makes some noisies, but not quite as much as the males. She will not stay on their cage she is just like my other male that follow my everywhere. At first she didn't want to be scratched, just wanted to be on your hand, now you can't pet her enough. I named her PEACHES cause she so pretty. The vote is still out where it's a male or female. Thanks again, for such a nice pet.......Diane

She got here safe and sound. She is a sweetheart and I adore her already! She is absolutely beautiful too! I've gotten her settled in to her new home and she seems happy right now. Hello Ginny,

You sold us sister cockatiels on Christmas Eve and I just wanted to thank you. Their name are Selene and Eos after the Greek sister goddesses of the morning sun and pale moon light. They are out of their cage every day (if they don't get out they let us know) and have a supervised run of the house. Selene is quiet and likes to play with toys. Eos sings and would rather use me as a toy then anything else. On Saturday mornings they have breakfast with us at the table and have a fondness for plain pancakes. Even if I give them their own to eat they always want to have the ones on are plates. Our family is getting as much enjoyment out of them as they are with us.

Hope you are doing good. Just wanted to tell you the little baby and momma are doing great! Luna the whiteface lutino has fluffed all out and loving flying around the bird room and exploring. The baby is very close to her still and its cute they are together a lot. They are both so pretty. Eating really good. Luna is a little bit of a feisty one and knows how to take care of herself. I let them out every day and they really like to play.

Well I have been keeping an eye on those 2 birds and they seem to be doing great. I think they got over the brother and sister crankyness that they had towards each other. They are eating good and actually getting along better now. Other then that they were sleeping on the same perch last night and My mom came over the other day and we cut the other birds nails and while we were at it we looked at No toes he only had 1 long nail so we took care of that for them That must have felt better for both. They do keep losing feathers but not as bad as before.

I just wanted to let you know how our little boy was doing. He is the sweetest, most gentle little bird. He has learned to give me kisses now and I am working at teaching him to talk. He was very quiet when he first came to us, but now he sits and talks to the birds outside.

He loves to sit on top of the cage or on the little perch we have on the bay window looking outside. He can do that for hours and just talk to the birds. When I get home from work he is with me a lot through the evening. He loves to sit on my chest and put his little head up under my chin and he wants to have his head rubbed all the time.

He went up to the cabin with us for the first time two weeks ago, and he was a good little traveler and I even took him outside for awhile. I just sat on our bench right outside the door, talked to him very softly and he did really good. He never tried to fly away, and he finally sat up on my shoulder and took a little nap. He was fascinated by the sounds of the birds up there and again enjoyed watching out the window.

He loves his egg and corn mixture but he isn’[t much on the bean mixture. I also presented him with peas, and he didn’t like those either. But he has different kinds of seed mixtures so he is doing good. He has had a few night terrors leading to some bleeding and loss of tail feathers, but we have a nightlight by him and that has helped, plus if he sleeps in the same cage as our other cockatiel, he seems to do better too. Otherwise they have their separate cages.

So, just wanted to let you know how happy I am with him, and what a sweet baby boy he is

I wanted to let you know how the youngin's are doing. Misha is turning out to be quite the whistler. We have learned from my Ellie Mae to whistle quite a bit and the funniest part is it is only done under cover or when nobody is watching. Once someone looks in the general direction of Misha all is quiet. Apparently Misha is a shy bird who doesn't want anyone to see her singing.

I promised I would email pictures of the birdies I bought from you. It took me a while, but I finally got around to it. I bought two females back in March. We named our whiteface Luna and the pied Cosmo. I attached a collage of pictures of them for you. They are doing very well, Cosmo is just finishing molting and Luna is just starting I think. I got them a play stand which they do not really like, they much prefer sitting on me or my boyfriends shoulders. Cosmo likes to flip upside down and spread her wings, which we call "big wings" She does it to show off a lot, Luna tries but is not quite as daring, and her wings are usually not spread out as far. Luna is definitely more cuddly and quiet, where as Cosmo is very adventurous and likes to be into everything. Especially to chew on things i'm trying to read, or play with the keyboard as I'm trying to type. They are wonderful birds and have adjusted very well. Just thought I'd let ya know a bit about them.

I just thought you would like an update and some pics of the bird I picked up in March. I named him Sprout. He did seem rather lonely at first but my blue parakeet Twitch kept following him everywhere and now they get along great, so he is not so lonely. It acually helped Twitch out too because he is a store bought bird and would not let us touch him much. Within a week of Sprout coming though, he was a completely different bird. Because Twitch wanted to be with Sprout, and Sprout wanted to be with us, Twitch started climbing up our arms and now he even flies to our fingers. It is an amazingly fast turnaround all because of Sprout. :) They even hang out together on the legs of my computer chair when I am working, with me twirling above them. The cool thing about that is parakeets are known for hating to have anything above them. You can't even put their cages on the floor.

Anyway, back to Sprout. You were right! He is just like a little puppy. He follows me everywhere. He is so cute when he waddles after me. He also does this really cute thing when he wants me to pick him up. He comes over and stands on my foot and lifts his wings. When I am washing dishes and not piciking him up, he loves to run across the kitchen, catch the bottom of my dress or jeans (the dress is easier for him,) and runs up my back to sit on my shoulder. Such a funny little guy.

He also whistles a lot. We say he is singing the Sprout Theme Song because it sounds like nothing else. He also does the wolf whistle a lot because we keep doing it. Then, 3 weeks ago he started saying Pretty Bird. I was so excited. As of today he not only says that but has added Thank You, Step Up and Come Here to his vocabulary.

I wanted to thank you again for the lovely bird. I am having the time of my life with him and his buddy. Sorry this got to be such a long email and I hope you enjoy the pics.

I just wanted to give you an update on our cockatiel, Buddy. He has turned out to be the perfect pet for our boys, ages 4-6-8. (See the attached photo of my oldest son). They are so gentle with Buddy and love to watch his antics. He has a really nice cage, but he is out playing with us for a large part of each day. He is healthy, cheerful, cuddly, and gentle… and we could not ask for a better bird. My favorite thing to do with Buddy is to pet his head and let him fall asleep on me. I am sure my husband thinks I am a “crazy bird lady”, but that’s OK. It is apparent that you truly care for your cockatiels and spend a LOT of time taming them. Thank you so much for our little Buddy!

I was writing to let you know that "Kirby" is doing well! He is a very curious and friendly little guy, and is starting to really settle in well here with me. His favorite spot is on my shoulder, though now he is starting to realize how much fun it is to crawl down my arm and explore my desk, which includes chewing at everything he can get at :)

Otherwise, the first bath, nail trim, and wing clip went smoothly!! He was a bit more ornery about the wing clip but all in all, he was a very good bird and didn't seem too flustered after it was all over. He has only whistled for me once so far, but hopefully he will become even more comfortable here and will start to. Thank you for everything, I am very attached to Kirby and he seems to be doing great overall.

Dear Ginny,

My family purchased two babies, one emerald and one pearl missing a tail. We named them in Japanese. The white one is Chitori (chee-toe-ree) meaning power(or spirit) bird. And the tailess one is Tamago (ta-ma-go) meaning chicken egg.

Thought I'd update that they are thriving. We still have yet to send pictures. Tamago's tail is growing back.

They are already mimicing whistles. Tamago will occasionally burst into full random mimicing whistle song. Their first full bath here was a couple of days ago. Completing all the things they should be doing. So all are well at home now.

We wanted to let you know how well Charlie and Comet are doing in their new home. They really seem to love it here with us. They want to be out of the cage very often and really just want to be in the same room with us. The kids love them! They are everything we had hoped they would be! Hey Ginny, I just wanted to let you know that TJ's toe is doing good. He is wa;ling around and climbing more today, although he still has a slight limp in his step. But seems that he will make a good recovery.

I had lost your e-mail so when you reply I can send pictures of how the babys are doing. We love them so much and thank you again for selling such wonderful companions, and you have been a great help with any and all questions ive had for you.

We also wanted to let you that we are thinking about the possibilty of getting one or two more babys, but I will keep you posted on that. Thanks again.

We love "Kiki" and can't believe how well "it's" adjusting in it's new home. Chloe's been holding her almost the whole time we've been home. Kiki's eating and playing and it seems it's been here forever. You obviously care for your birds very well because it shows in their behavior. I never

Hello its anna again(i had bought a bird from you this last weekend) i have to tell you that i absolutly adore him. i have named him stormy feathers(storm for short) he has opened up a little. he is still hestant to venture off of my arm or sholder. but he has a few times. he has seen the cat and didnt like that too well, but he doesnt have to, i will try not to let him and the cats meet any closer(they were across the room) but i wanted to let you know and say thank you thank you thank you. he is perfect. and a great bird. i will send you pictures when i can find my good camera(i have one on the computer but they arent that good. but thank you so much! love anna

Thank you for the info! We made it home safely - they are doing well. Taking time to get to know their new home. They are eating and playing with the toys in the cage. "Berry" the parakeet already checked them out - I think he approves! My husband said "maybe Berry like's hangin' with two girls"! We are thinking of names - maybe "Sugar and Spice", ( my husband suggested Thelma & Louise) but I'm waiting for my older son to come home from work to ask him (he'd probably want "AC and DC"!)

They are sooo sweet - I love them already! I will keep in touch & send pictures as soon as they feel comfortable to come out of the cage.

This is Kirby, 1 yr. old, just saying a few things to you :) "Pretty bird, what'cha doin? Huh? Pretty boy!" The second video is his rendition of "La Cucaracha", sung to his toes! He is SUCH a wonderful, sweet, and talented bird. So many people compliment him and he has some of my friends considering getting a bird because he is so wonderful. I can't thank you enough!! Hi Ginny,

We are so impressed with this bird! She rode home just fine, alert but relaxed. She sat in her cage for a bit, but Clare thought she look afraid so brought her out and they sat together for about two hours getting to know one another. Clare thought she'd be ready for a break, but once in her cage, she wanted to come back out! She'd rather be with us than her cage. I've never seen anything like it. She seems very happy. No sign of being stressed or spooked. Hans just got pizza so the girls came down to eat. Clare just ran up to check on her and she's snuggled in her little "happy hut" -- a triangular hideaway made out of fuzzy fleece. She's snuggled up and sleeping peacefully right now. Just thought you'd like to know that your baby's new flock is very happy!

The babies are doing fine! Their weight dropped a little, but like you said that is to be expected. I was just upstairs with them and their are bundles of fun! I named the Cinnamon Pearl Lucy, like planned. And I named the Whiteface Pepper, because of her freckle like pattern on her tail, chest, and under her wings. Earlier today, we had the whole family (which includes my parents, my little sister, and me of course) in my rome and were playing with the two little birds. We are starting to work on the playpen, so the birds will have that pretty soon. I really love my two little baby birds! Thank you so much! I will keep you updated.

on my shoulder and settling in nicely. I named them Soren (Yellow

Cheek) and Rowan. Soren is much quieter and more cautious and likes to

just sit on my shoulder at this point but I can tell he is feeling more

relaxed and friendly already. Rowan is very curious and active (she is

trying to help me type) and wants to nibble on everything. She wants to

be held all the time:) They are charming my husband like I knew they

would and I am very glad I was able to talk him into 2 babies:)

My son and I were at your place on Saturday. Just a quick update... OUR WHOLE FAMILY ABSOLUTELY LOVES HER! (At least we are calling her a "her".) We named her Holly because it's December and our other tiel's name is Honey. So we have Honey and Holly. She seems to be adjusting very well, and seems even a little jealous if she's not the one getting all the attention! Our other bird accepted her very well as I thought she would. Holly is eating wonderfully and is even somehwhat of a little piggy! She is a really sweetheart. Thank you so much for doing all that you do raising these birds. Thanks for allowing us to take our time choosing Holly although she was easily the right choice. Happy Holidays!

He is doing absolutely wonderful! I decided to name him Taz. The first few 2 days he was really nervous about being in a new place but since then he has been doing great. He has been eating a TON and has been having fun exploring his new cage. The first day it took him a little while to find his water (which worried me) but now he definitely knows where it is and is drinking well. He loves to come out of his cage and sit on my shoulder and also loves having his head scratched. He is such a sweet little baby. I couldn't be happier!

They seem to be adapting well. They hung out in the corner of their cage the first night but now they climb all over. They very willingly climb out of their cage when we open the door. In fact, the male one now runs back and forth at the bottom of the cage by the door like he's saying I want to come out. They both step up on your hand very well too. My husband named the boy Chester and I haven't picked a name for the female yet. The only thing I'm not sure on now is they only seem to want to eat the bird seed. Any suggestions? Otherwise, they seem to be doing good. Thanks again! We love them

Hi Ginny, We are loving our new babies! They are by far the nicest of all the cockatiels I have ever had (three others). They didn't care for the care ride much, but they settled in nicely once we got home. Now they want to come out and play all the time. Whenever I come home they sing until I take them out =) It took them a while to figure out the water bottle, but they've got the hang of it now. Hi Ginny - I just thought I'd let you know that the baby is settling in just fine. After about an hour of stuffed birdie, and a half hour of clinging to the upper back of the cage, he felt comfortable enough to start messing with the toys and discovered the swing.

He briefly found the food dish last night and rediscovered it this morning and is now sleeping in it. He seems to grasp the concept of jumping up but hasn't really figured out down yet. Well, other than by accident anyway.

Thanks so much again - your babies are all absolutely gorgeous. One question - the baggies of colored bits - what product name would I get to replace it? I'd like to keep getting the foods he's used to. I'll keep in touch - if the little guy gets lonely the pied male isn't out of the question since they seemed to get along ok. (Unless he sells of course) I'll have to see how he settles in while I'm at work. THANK YOU - Deb

Just wanted to let you know we all made it home safe. It was a long trip from K.C. to there and back, but it was well worth it. People think we are nuts going that far for birds, but if they seen what you raise, they would understand. Out of the 15 birds we have bought from you in the last 7 months, we have absolutely no complaints and would definitely refer anyone who wants to purchase one or more(like us) to you. You have welcomed us into your home to see your beautiful birds, gave us all the support you can, and are always there to answer any questions we may have. We thank you so very much, as we will be very successful in our breeding stock, because you have done so very well yourself. Thanks for the info on the NEW feeding syringe. I used the one you gave me on the little one I am hand feeding from my own pair, and it works GREAT!!!!! It was also very nice seeing you again, you have become a true friend.

I'm really enjoying the parrotlet Oliver the latest addition to my family. My daughter has commented that Oliver has a big personality for such a little bird. He loves to come out and play, and has already learned to "give kisses". He's a great little guy and I'm sure will be a treasure for years to come. Who knows, I may introduce him to Mousse, my "Velcro cockatiel" I bought from you a while back, since both these guys would rather be with humans. Here are some pictures. They have been so much fun! I am glad we got two.

Spike likes it when we pet him and he likes to hang out on our shoulders. Oscar likes to be with us but does not like to be touched that much. It is funny though, he doesn't want to be alone. When I am sitting at my desk Oscar will fly off his perch and land on top of monitor. He just sits and watches me work. Poor Spike can't fly and he gets really mad when Oscar leaves. He starts chirping and flapping his wings really hard but always ends up falling, now he knows that if he just chirps and flaps his wings a little I will come get him (we just call them boys, but I am thinking we might have one of each, not sure)

I bought a baby Parrotlet from you a few weeks ago and I just wanted to let you know that she is doing awesome!! Her name is now Ava Rae and I love her to death already. We get ready in the morning together and while I'm at work, my other family members get to enjoy her. When I get home from work she gets to do a variety of activities from watching movies to relaxing in her cage out by the pool with the girls She is such a delight and is a very outgoing and spirited little birdie! She was definately the perfect little girl for me!

It didn't take us long to get acquainted! We named our babies Sven (on his head) and Gina (on his leg). We just love them - they are so sweet and affectionate, but definately different personalities. Sven likes to play and Gina likes to groom herself. They are doing just great. We are enjoying sharing our Cheerios with them in the morning. Thank you again for having such wonderful birds.

The baby has already ate a little snack and drank my water out of my glass. She seems to be really happy. She rather be climbing all over us, then in her cage.

She loves the sound of the keyboard on the computer. Jeff, my husband was typing on his laptop and she went right to him. She got right on top of it and typed with him. Hilarious.

I have taken some photos & will get them to you.

Jezibel seems very happy in her new home so far. We will keep you posted.

I just wanted to let you know that the weekend with our new parrotlet girl was wonderful. We named her Leeloo. She is so friendly and so smart. She is already doing beautifully with "step up" and is earning not to nip when we say "Careful".

She is just a doll, and she would like to be out 24/7 I think! ;)

I cannot thank you enough for her, she has been a real blessing to us!

I just wanted to pass on a compliment to you. Yesterday, my husband took our two cockatiels in to the vet for their annual exam. While he was there, he mentioned to the vet that we are buying a bird from you etc. and our vet was very pleased to hear that we are purchasing from you. He said that we are guaranteed to get a quality bird because you are so thorough and meticulous about the whole process of raising birds and that you are one of the best breeders around. I just thought you would like to know so I figured I would pass that on. (Our avian vet is Dr. Larry Tholl at Valley View Pet Hospital in Burnsville.)

I just wanted to send this picture to you. Daisy is doing wonderfully! She is already ruling the roost so to speak. Roscoe(gray) & Rocky(heavy pied) are both in love with her already and its really sweet to see how they compete for her attention. We had originally planned on keeping her in a separate cage from them until they were comfortable with each other but all three of them have behaved as if they were raised together from the beginning. We couldn't be happier with her. She is a very sweet affectionate and loving bird. She is a wonderful addition to our family and we can't thank you enough!! Hope you enjoy the pictures!
